About the position

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant with an X-ray license to join our dynamic dental practice. This part-time role focuses on supporting our dental team in providing high-quality care to patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental procedures and excellent communication skills, working well in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during various procedures
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use
• Perform infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment
• Take digital dental X-rays
• Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for patient records management
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
• Familiarity with infection control practices in a dental setting
• Proficiency in using dental software (Dentrix) is highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred
