About the position
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team, focusing on patient care and the smooth operation of our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during various treatment procedures and contribute to maintaining a supportive environment for both patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Prepare patients for dental work
- Ensure appropriate supply of dental instruments and materials
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with documentation
- Educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices
- Manage infection control protocols
- Perform various office tasks as needed
Requirements
- Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in endodontics is a plus
- X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
- Dental assisting: 2 years (Preferred)
