About the position

Cardinal Dental Care is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join their new state-of-the-art office in Melissa, TX. The role focuses on providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment, utilizing advanced technology and promoting continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
• Conduct thorough reviews of patients' health histories to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using tools like the iTero 3D scanner and digital photography.
• Provide superior chairside assistance during various dental procedures in accordance with state regulations.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following strict safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
• Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
• Dental assisting school certification.
