About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and committed to enhancing patient experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics.
  • Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
  • Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
  • Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Record and update medical documentation accurately, including patient vital signs and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Manage sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness in the dental clinic.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.

Requirements

  • Proficient in assisting with various dental procedures, demonstrating strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical documentation practices and familiarity with medical coding is preferred.
  • Experience with vital signs monitoring is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of general dentistry principles, including pediatric dentistry techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and staff professionally.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of medical documentation practices and familiarity with medical coding is preferred.
