About the position

The Dental Assistant position at Dental Care of Edmond is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will assist dentists during various procedures, manage patient records, and ensure a comfortable experience for patients. This role emphasizes continuous learning and professional development, with no night or weekend shifts required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort throughout their dental journey.
• Conduct thorough reviews of patients' health histories to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments, including using an iTero 3D scanner.
• Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures in accordance with state regulations.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers and team members to implement office systems and maximize workflow.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Oklahoma Dental Assistant Permit
• Oklahoma X-Ray Certification
• 1 year of Dental Assistant work experience
• Experience in iTero, Implant & Oral Surgery
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
• Attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Microsoft Office Suite experience

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Dentrix or other dental software
