Dental Assistant

About the position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our Oral Surgery team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing their needs during visits. Your expertise will contribute to creating a positive and comfortable experience for patients.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients to the dental office
• Preparing patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort
• Selecting and setting up instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Sterilizing instruments according to regulations
• Assisting the oral surgeon during procedures
• Keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Facilitating and coordinating other office responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of proven experience as a dental assistant, specialty preferred
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma
• Certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law)
• Active state radiology license (if required by law)
