About the position

We're looking for an experienced, compassionate, and self-starting Dental Assistant to join our rapidly growing team. This role involves providing end-to-end chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring a clean and efficient office environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting and have a passion for helping others while utilizing cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end chairside assistance, from pre-op prep to post-op clean up.
• Professional and compassionate patient management, understanding the different needs of our patient community.
• Imparting in patients a deeper care for their oral health by offering at-home instructions or recommending procedures that would benefit the patient.
• Taking x-rays, making temporaries, and taking impressions.
• Removing sutures and keeping the office spotless by executing standard sterilization and cleansing procedures.
• Managing back-office patient flow to ensure efficient patient care.
• Stock management, ensuring all operatories are fully stocked and timely orders are placed to suppliers.
• Entering procedure codes and chart notes into our software for doctors when needed.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in a full-time Dental Assistant capacity.
• Active Dental Assistant certification in the state of NY.
• Comfortable taking X-rays, making temporaries, impressions, and removing sutures.
• General understanding of standard dental software, including Dexis and Eaglesoft.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in both English and Spanish.
• Self-starting team player, able to work without direct supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Active Dental Assistant certification in NJ.
• X-ray certification in NY and/or NJ.
• Conversant in French and Haitian Creole.
