About the position

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing team at Main Street Dental Care LLC. This role involves providing chairside assistance and back-office support in a fast-paced dental environment, utilizing cutting-edge technology to enhance patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient management and a passion for oral health education.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end chairside assistance, from pre-op prep to post-op clean up.
• Professional and compassionate patient management, responding to inquiries with care.
• Imparting deeper care for oral health by offering at-home instructions and recommending beneficial procedures.
• Taking x-rays and making temporaries and impressions.
• Removing sutures and maintaining office cleanliness through standard sterilization procedures.
• Managing back-office patient flow for efficient service delivery.
• Ensuring operatories are fully stocked and timely orders are placed with suppliers.
• Entering procedure codes and chart notes into dental software.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience as a full-time Dental Assistant.
• Active Dental Assistant certification in the state of NY.
• Comfortable taking X-rays, making temporaries, impressions, and removing sutures.
• General understanding of standard dental software, including Dexis and Eaglesoft.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish.
• Self-starting team player with the ability to work independently.

Nice-to-haves

• Active Dental Assistant certification in NJ.
• X-ray certification in NY and/or NJ.
• Conversant in French and Haitian Creole.
