About the position
Our private dental practice is seeking a dedicated dental assistant (DA) to join our team, available for both part-time and full-time positions. This role primarily involves assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing patients for treatments, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. We welcome applicants with no prior dental assisting experience or certifications, making this an excellent opportunity for pre-dental students or those looking to start a career in dental assisting.
Responsibilities
- Primarily chair-side assist the dentist during all dental procedures
- Take x-rays
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups
- Prepare operatories with instruments, equipment and materials needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years commitment
- Employees need to be 18+
- No previous dental experience is necessary
- No certifications are necessary
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in dental assisting
- Knowledge of Vietnamese or Spanish
