About the position

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact on community health? We're seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. Part of the Dental Assistant's duties will be to assist our dentist in providing mobile dental services at various community-based organizations in Orange County.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, and surgeries.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments, ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are readily available.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control guidelines.
• Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and assist in managing patient comfort during procedures.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure efficient operation.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide guidance on maintaining oral health.
• Other duties and responsibilities assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
• 2-3 years of DA experience
• X-ray certification
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Korean or Spanish preferred
• CPR certification preferred
