About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic, providing exceptional support to both the dental team and patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and patient care protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing necessary instruments and materials.
• Take and record vital signs of patients, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Manage patient appointments and assist with administrative tasks as needed, including dental receptionist duties.
• Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for scheduling, billing, and maintaining patient records.
• Educate patients on post-operative care and general oral hygiene practices.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Support various dental specialties including Endodontics and Prosthodontics by preparing relevant materials and assisting during procedures.

Requirements

• Familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy knowledge is essential for effective communication within the team.
• Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
• Understanding of medical records management is beneficial for maintaining accurate patient information.
• Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental software is a plus.
