Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
• Take dental x-rays
• Perform dental charting and record patient information
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental assistant preferred
• Proficient in infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and materials
• Ability to assist with front office duties, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining patient records
• Dental assisting skills, including chairside assistance, instrument sterilization, and dental charting
• Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and maintaining radiographic equipment
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic technique to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
• Familiarity with dental imaging techniques for diagnostic purposes
• Strong organizational skills to maintain patient records and assist with front office duties
