About the position

Fellowship Village is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to support our dentist in providing exceptional dental care to our residents. This part-time role involves assisting in routine dental procedures and ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable experience for all patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination and treatment areas by setting up instruments and equipment.
• Assist the dentist during exams and procedures, including handling instruments and managing suction equipment.
• Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after dental procedures.
• Sterilize dental instruments and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Take and process dental X-rays as needed.
• Manage patient records, including updating charts and documenting treatment.
• Educate residents on post-procedure care and general oral health practices.

Requirements

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient in dental assisting procedures and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide compassionate care.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with senior patients is a plus.
