Responsibilities

  • Assist the prosthodontist during exams and procedures.
  • Assisting in taking impressions for crowns, bridges, and other prosthetics, ensuring accurate and detailed records.
  • Assisting with laboratory tasks, such as making casts and diagnostic impressions, and preparing materials for procedures.
  • Prepare, break down, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments to maintain optimal hygiene standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance with infection control, CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations, guaranteeing a safe and secure environment for both patients and staff.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of patient records.
  • Provide patients with comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care instructions to enhance their overall experience and recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient charting for effective record-keeping and continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Possession of a High School Diploma and reliable transportation is essential.
  • Demonstrated motivation to learn with a genuine passion for healthcare and a commitment to direct patient care.
  • Previous experience in dental or oral surgery is preferred, showcasing a solid foundation in dental assisting.
  • Familiarity with Open Dental software is a plus, demonstrating adaptability to dental practice management tools.
  • Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in email and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support clinic operations.
  • Strong follow-through, effective communication, and reliability are paramount for success in this role.

Nice-to-haves

  • DAANCE certification is preferred, or the ability to achieve it within 1 year of hire, indicating a commitment to professional development in dental anesthesia and sedation.
