About the position

Creekside Dentistry is seeking a dedicated Dental Billing Specialist/Accounts Receivable/Treatment Plan Consultant to join our team. This position is integral to our revenue cycle management and involves handling accounts receivable, medical collections, and treatment plan consultations. We are looking for someone who is interested in long-term opportunities within our ever-growing organization. The role is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing excellent service and support in a dental office environment. The ideal candidate will work full-time, Monday through Thursday, totaling 32 hours per week. The position offers a competitive pay range of $22 to $28 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to a base salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes vacation, paid holidays, sick leave, a 401(k) plan, an in-house dental plan, and bonus opportunities. We utilize Eaglesoft EMR systems, and familiarity with this software is preferred. As a Dental Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding and billing of dental procedures, and following up on outstanding accounts. You will also assist in developing treatment plans and consulting with patients regarding their financial responsibilities. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Handle medical collections and follow up on outstanding accounts.
  • Assist in developing treatment plans and consult with patients regarding their financial responsibilities.
  • Utilize Eaglesoft EMR systems for billing and record-keeping.
  • Ensure accurate coding and billing of dental procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and coding standards.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in dental billing and revenue cycle management.
  • Medical Coding Certification is required.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Proficiency in Eaglesoft EMR systems is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in dental office management is a plus.
