Responsibilities

• Process and manage Dental billing for patients and insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Review patient medical records to verify information before billing submissions.
• Handle dental collections, including follow-up on outstanding accounts and resolving discrepancies.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any billing-related inquiries or issues.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations, coding practices, and insurance policies.
• Generate reports related to billing activities, collections, and outstanding balances for management review.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dental billing, coding, or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG (Diagnosis Related Group), and other relevant coding systems.
• Strong understanding of medical records management and compliance standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
