About the position

As a Front Desk/Insurance Coordinator at Kevin Kay DDS, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our dental office located in Renton, WA. This full-time position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks while providing exceptional customer service. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, responsible for greeting them warmly and ensuring their experience is positive from the moment they enter our office. Your role will involve answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and managing patient scheduling, including appointments and procedures. In addition to patient interaction, you will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage and benefits, processing insurance claims and authorizations, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records. Handling billing inquiries and resolving any billing issues will also be part of your responsibilities. You will assist with various office administrative tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of the front desk and the overall efficiency of the dental practice. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in dental office administration, particularly in insurance coordination. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word, and experience with Dentrix software. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities is essential, along with strong organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy are critical in ensuring that patient records and billing processes are handled correctly.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a dental office setting mandatory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word and Dentrix mandatory
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with medical terminology (1 year preferred)
  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist (2 years required)
