About the position

The Dental Front Office Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the front office operations of a dental practice. This position is responsible for scheduling patient appointments, coordinating referrals, and ensuring compliance with various regulations. The coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients, addressing their inquiries and managing insurance verification processes. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient exams and treatment.
  • Coordinate referral appointments with community specialists.
  • Answer phones and address patient questions in a professional manner.
  • Attain insurance verification and eligibility for each patient more than 48 hours prior to patient visit.
  • Enter insurance benefits for each patient into practice management software, including any special requirements or limitations.
  • Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, including OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, and Employee Handbook.

Requirements

  • Extreme detail orientation and comfort working independently.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the desire for professional growth.
  • Very professional appearance.
  • Be organized and possess a superior knowledge of dentistry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Dentrix or other Dental Practice Management Software experience (preferred).
  • Three (3) or more years of practical experience (preferred).
