About the position

The Dental Human Resources Manager at Smile Avenue Family Dentistry is a full-time role responsible for managing the HR functions within the dental practice. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies and policies that align with the overall objectives of the dental practice.
  • Manage the complete recruitment cycle to attract and hire qualified dental professionals.
  • Design and oversee training programs that enhance the professional development of our staff.
  • Administer plans for employee compensation and benefits while ensuring they meet budget requirements and staff needs.
  • Lead performance evaluation processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Facilitate a positive work environment and mediate any interpersonal issues or conflicts within the staff.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable labour laws and dental healthcare regulations.
  • Advise senior management on HR costs and strategies, as well as provide recommendations based on current industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to integrate HR functions with organizational practices.
  • Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion within the practice environment.
  • Ensure that all HR operations are conducted legally, ethically, and within established timelines.
  • Engage with legal advisors and regulatory bodies to ensure proper compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain reports that track HR metrics such as turnover rates, recruitment efficiency, and employee satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Significant human resources experience, specifically within the healthcare or dental sectors.
  • Proven track record in developing HR strategies and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Deep understanding of labor laws and healthcare industry standards.
  • Proficiency in HR management systems and comfortable with database usage and report generation.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to make decisions decisively and with integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of managing diverse teams and facilitating effective discussions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and interact professionally with all levels of staff and management.
