Responsibilities

• Conducting vital signs assessments and dental charting
• Performing periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services
• Implementing fluoride treatments and protective sealants
• Removing calculus, stains, and plaque from above and below the gum line
• Providing patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
• Collaborating with the dental team to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Adhering to strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
• Maintaining accurate medical documentation using Eaglesoft or similar software

Requirements

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging, and infection control practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards patient care
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development
