About the position

The Dental Medicaid Program Assistant at the Community College System of New Hampshire provides essential administrative support for the dental clinic office, focusing on the coordination of Medicaid processing and documentation. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient operations within the dental clinic, supporting both clients and students while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the Medicaid processing and record keeping for the dental clinic office.
  • Provides program information and guidance to clinic clients and other interested parties.
  • Provides general support for the Dental Clinic Manager, Clinic Office, and ADED students.
  • Monitors and supports student activity in the Dental Clinic Office, modeling professional behaviors expected in a dental office.
  • Performs data entry duties and maintains information in the dental software program.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client and ADED student records, complying with regulations including HIPAA and FERPA.
  • Schedules appointments for the Medicaid clinic and dental hygiene clinic as needed.
  • Manages computerized records and forms, including importing and exporting records and encrypted emails.
  • Maintains an understanding of funding contracts, modifiers, and fee schedules.
  • Verifies patients' benefits eligibility and coverage, ensuring timely processing of claims according to guidelines.
  • Complies with all System, College, State, and Federal rules and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent credential.
  • Five (5) years of experience in office or administrative support, preferably within a dental or medical office.
  • Computer literacy and strong computer skills.
  • Mid-level administrative experience.
  • Strong communication skills and time management abilities.
