Responsibilities

  • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to claims.
  • Maintain organized records of all insurance transactions and communications.
  • Assist patients with understanding their insurance benefits and coverage options.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure proper coding and documentation for services rendered.
  • Monitor accounts receivable related to insurance payments and follow up on outstanding claims.
  • Provide support in budgeting processes by analyzing insurance reimbursements and trends.
  • Support office manager in supervising administrative staff as needed, ensuring adherence to office protocols and procedures.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of dental terminology and billing practices.
  • Experience in dental administrative support within a dental office setting.
  • Familiarity with dental practices is a plus.
  • Proficient in using various systems for managing patient records and insurance claims.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and insurance representatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
