About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, managing various administrative and clinical tasks, and contributing to a positive patient experience while adhering to all regulatory standards, including HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Proficiently implement and deliver the office's daily production and collection goals.
  • Greet patients warmly and ensure they feel comfortable during their visit.
  • Manage patient scheduling, confirming appointments, and handling cancellations by filling any holes in the schedule to meet the office's daily goals.
  • Maintain accurate daily dental records and ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations by setting up pre-appointment records and gathering all post-appointment records and maintaining these records daily.
  • Coordinate the dental professionals during procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
  • Oversee infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Handle billing processes, including dental coding and insurance claims.
  • Support patients with information regarding treatment plans and post-care instructions.
  • Assist in managing inventory of dental supplies and equipment.
  • Conduct basic medical imaging as required by the dental team.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a dental office as a dental assistant and patient coordinator is a must.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control practices.
  • Familiarity with general dentistry, prosthodontics, pediatrics, and dental assisting techniques is a plus.
  • Proficiency in managing dental records and understanding dental coding is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient care and support.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
