As a Dental Office Manager, also referred to as an Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience and supporting the clinical team. This position offers a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of patients while contributing to the community. You will undergo an extensive ten-week training program designed to equip you with essential business and leadership skills necessary for success in this role. Your responsibilities will include overseeing all office operations, ensuring that the office runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, consulting with patients regarding treatment options, and verifying insurance payments. Additionally, you will manage the office staff, focusing on hiring, developing, and retaining talent to create a cohesive team. You will also review monthly business results, manage profit and loss statements, and develop strategies to enhance profitability. Daily huddles with the team will be a key part of your role, allowing you to set expectations and optimize both patient experience and business performance. This position is not just about managing operations; it’s about leading a team with compassion and care, ensuring that every patient feels valued and supported. You will be a pivotal figure in fostering a fun and collaborative culture that encourages innovation and growth within the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the office in all operations to support the doctors and enhance patient experiences.
  • Provide superior patient service with compassion and care according to patient needs and company policies.
  • Consult with patients on treatment options and verify insurance payments and collections.
  • Hire, develop, manage, and retain office staff to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Review monthly business results and manage profit and loss to align sales plans with business goals.
  • Prepare and lead daily huddles with the team to optimize patient experience and business performance.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience managing a team of direct reports.
  • Experience in sales or sales management is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients of all ages.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and ability to leverage data effectively.
  • A people-centric leader who motivates and inspires others.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a dental or healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with dental insurance processes and regulations.
