The Front Desk Receptionist at Awesome Dental is a vital role responsible for creating a welcoming environment for patients. This position involves managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring efficient office operations. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced dental office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients in a warm and professional manner
  • Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately in the system
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, including follow-up visits
  • Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries, providing information about services, fees, and insurance coverage
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for treatment
  • Collect and process patient payments, including co-pays and deductibles
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a comfortable and inviting environment for patients
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient flow and scheduling of appointments
  • Manage and coordinate patient records, including filing and retrieval
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the dental office

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Dentrix
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Friendly and professional demeanor with a genuine commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
