About the position

The Dental Operations Manager at Dr. Zak Dental Care is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dental practice, ensuring that patient care is prioritized and that the clinical support team is effectively managed. This role involves leading a team of dental and administrative assistants, resolving patient issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality assurance protocols. The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing patient satisfaction and operational efficiency within the practice.

Responsibilities

• Resolve patient issues/complaints
• Record taking
• Travel between offices
• Generate patient goodwill by encouraging feedback about their experience
• Oversee Safety Protocol Compliance (OSHA, Infection Control, etc.)
• Ensure Provider Team compliance of Quality Assurance protocols
• Manage dental providers' schedules to maximize productivity and minimize wait times
• Audit patient charts to collect accurate co-payments
• Oversee patient documentation to ensure completeness
• Provide Treatment Planning support due to changes in treatment
• Optimize staff schedules to minimize overtime and maximize coverage
• Ensure compliance with California labor laws regarding breaks and mealtimes

Requirements

• 1 year of management experience (Dental experience preferred)
• Leadership/organizational experience in professional or personal life
• Strong communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Desire to lead others toward a common goal through mentorship
• Ability to learn and master new technologies

Nice-to-haves

• Dental Clinical Experience as Dental Assistant and/or X-ray tech
• Bachelor's or Associate's College Degree in any subject
