About the position
The Surgical Assistant at The Facial Surgery Center is responsible for assisting the doctor during clinical procedures and delivering essential oral surgery services. This part-time role requires a team player who can effectively communicate and prioritize tasks while maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor in clinical procedures
- Take x-rays
- Sterilize instruments and clinical equipment
- Coordinate laboratory services
- Maintain the general appearance, cleanliness, and organization of clinical areas
Requirements
- Knowledge of anatomy
- Knowledge of physiology
- Familiarity with dental terminology
- Anesthesiology knowledge
- Registered Dental Assistant certification
- Good communication skills
- Entry-level position requiring under 1 year of experience
- Anesthesia Certification
Nice-to-haves
- Graduated from a medical or dental assisting program
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Radiology, Health and Safety Certification
- Anesthesia assisting certification
- DANB certification or scheduled for the DANB exam
