About the position
The Surgical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the doctor during clinical procedures and delivering essential oral surgery services. This part-time position requires effective communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor in clinical procedures
- Take x-rays
- Sterilize instruments and clinical equipment
- Coordinate laboratory services
- Maintain the general appearance, cleanliness, and organization of clinical areas
Requirements
- Valid Registered Dental Assistant license
- Valid Certified Dental Assistant certification
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and dental and medical terminology
- Radiology, Health and Safety Certification
- DANB certification (or scheduled for the exam within 6 months of hire)
Nice-to-haves
- Anesthesia assisting certification
- Previous experience in a similar role
