About the position

The Patient Coordinator at Commonwealth Dentistry plays a crucial role in ensuring the dental office operates smoothly and efficiently. This full-time position involves managing patient schedules, entering billing information, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. The coordinator is responsible for various administrative tasks that support the dental team and enhance patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Help the dental office stay on schedule by managing appointments.
  • Enter patient data for billing purposes.
  • Communicate with patients in an efficient and empathetic manner.
  • Keep the office stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Greet patients with a professional demeanor.
  • Check-in patients and ensure they have all necessary information.
  • Collect co-payments and check-out patients.
  • Close out registers and ensure they are balanced daily.
  • Schedule patients and confirm appointments via phone calls.
  • Escalate issues to the Office Manager as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be present by 7:45 am as clinic opens at 8:00 am.
  • Must be reliable and flexible to work before and after hours based on business needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to exhibit ethical conduct and confidentiality.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong computer skills; knowledge of Eaglesoft and/or Denticon is a plus.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate independent thinking and teamwork.

Nice-to-haves

  • Dental front desk experience is preferred, but not required.
