In addition to greeting patients, the Dental Receptionist will answer phone calls and schedule appointments efficiently, ensuring that the office runs smoothly and that patients receive timely care. The role also involves verifying insurance information and assisting with billing inquiries, which requires a good understanding of dental terminology and documentation review. Maintaining patient records and ensuring accurate documentation is a key responsibility, as is handling clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents. The Dental Receptionist will also assist with medical collections and billing procedures, which may involve communicating with patients regarding their accounts and ensuring that all financial transactions are handled professionally and accurately.
