We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations of our dental clinic, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients while efficiently handling administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of medical terminology, as well as proficiency in relevant software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in process to ensure a smooth experience.
  • Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle cancellations or rescheduling as necessary.
  • Review documentation and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with clinic policies.
  • Process medical collections and manage billing inquiries, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding accounts.
  • Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Epic for patient management and record keeping.
  • Assist in coding procedures accurately for insurance claims and billing purposes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, insurance coverage, and payment options.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front office area to enhance the patient experience.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
  • Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Epic is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices is essential.
  • Experience in documentation review and medical collections is highly desirable.
  • Bilingual candidates who speak Spanish are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with patients and staff professionally.
  • Previous experience in a dental or healthcare office setting is an advantage.
