About the position

The Associate Dental Vision Support Specialist at Unum is an entry-level position focused on developing the necessary skills to maintain member, group, and plan data. This role is part of a three-level career path and involves processing data change requests, generating reports, and ensuring customer service standards are met. The position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and effective communication while supporting the overall mission of providing employee benefits and service solutions.

Responsibilities

• Process and document simple data change requests to maintain group and individual policies.
• Generate and analyze reports and data to measure productivity and turnaround standards.
• Develop solid business knowledge of the systems, processes, and customer the functional unit owns and supports.
• Attain individual and team productivity goals without compromising accuracy, service, or the privacy of our customers.
• Partner effectively with customers of the business area to ensure service standards and customer needs are met.
• Perform system demonstrations to internal and external clients, as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects and initiatives under the direction of a senior team member.
• Operate as a team player, providing and receiving feedback, supporting others, and arranging for or providing back-up support as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• PC skills are essential with practical knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Solid planning, organization, and time management skills.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate with urgency in a real-time service and multifaceted environment.
• Demonstrates consistency in accuracy, quantity, and quality of work.
