About the position
The Department of Corrections is seeking a qualified Dentist for a Mobile Dental Clinic, responsible for providing dental care to incarcerated individuals across various correctional facilities in Washington State. Responsibilities
- Perform dental examinations and treatments in a Mobile Dental Clinic for incarcerated individuals.
- Ensure services adhere to the Department's policies and the WA State DOC Health Plan.
- Provide clinical supervision to dental assistants and hygienists.
- Diagnose dental conditions and plan treatments accordingly.
- Administer local anesthetics and perform oral surgeries within expertise limits.
- Maintain accurate patient and administrative records.
- Transport, set up, and maintain the Mobile Dental Clinic.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed dentist in the State of Washington.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Possession of unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration to prescribe controlled substances.
- Ability to complete specialized training related to the Mobile Dental Clinic within 6 months of hiring.
Nice-to-haves
