About the position
The Dentist position at our growing multi-location dental practice in Ogdensburg, NY, offers a full-time opportunity for a general dentist. The role emphasizes a work/life balance with flexible scheduling, allowing dentists to focus solely on providing dental care without the stress of practice management. The practice provides all necessary support staff, supplies, labs, and equipment, ensuring a smooth operational flow.
Responsibilities
- Perform general dentistry services including examinations, treatment planning, x-rays, oral prophylaxis, scaling, fabrication and repair of dentures, restorations, oral hygiene instruction, and extractions within the limits of general practice.
- Maintain proper EMR documentation of treatments for all patients.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain aseptic techniques in the dental office.
- Supervise the attending dental team.
- Develop treatment plans and discuss them with patients to ensure understanding and consent.
Requirements
- DMD/DDS dental degree from an accredited program.
- Current and unrestricted NYS license in good standing.
- Strong chairside manner and great communication skills.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with the dental clinic team.
- Availability to work for a minimum of 1-4 weekdays per month.
