About The Position

This position is a federal role that requires candidates to demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties associated with the job. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer service through National Service programs. Candidates must clearly outline their duties and responsibilities in their resume, including the total number of hours worked per week. The position requires compliance with radiological certification standards as outlined in Public Law 97-35 and 42 CFR Part 75. Applicants must meet specific educational and certification requirements to qualify for the GS-3 and GS-4 grade levels.

Requirements

• Radiological Certification for GS-3 and GS-4 levels.
• At least 3 months of general experience for GS-02 level.
• At least 6 months of general experience for GS-03 level.
• Completion of a 1-year dental assistant program or a 1-year dental hygiene program for GS-03 level.
• At least 6 months of specialized experience for GS-04 level.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a 2-year dental assistant program.
• Completion of a 2-year dental hygiene program.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiological procedures in compliance with federal regulations.
• Provide dental assistance in general or specialized dentistry.
• Set up instruments for dental procedures and provide chairside assistance.
• Record treatments rendered and provide receptionist services.
• Expose and process digital oral x-rays.
