About the position
This position is for radiological personnel within the Federal Government, specifically for GS-3 and GS-4 levels. Candidates must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties associated with the role. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer service through recognized programs. The position requires adherence to specific radiological certification requirements as outlined in Public Law 97-35 and 42 CFR Part 75. Responsibilities
- Administer radiological procedures in compliance with federal regulations.
- Provide dental assistance in general or specialized dentistry.
- Set up proper instruments for dental procedures.
- Record treatments rendered and provide receptionist services.
- Expose and process digital oral x-rays.
Requirements
- Radiological Certification for GS-3 and GS-4 levels.
- At least 3 months of general experience for GS-02 level.
- At least 6 months of general experience for GS-03 level.
- Completion of a 1-year dental assistant program or equivalent for GS-03 level.
- 6 months of specialized experience for GS-04 level.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in customer service, record-keeping, and clinic maintenance.
- Completion of a 2-year dental assistant or dental hygiene program.
