About the position

The Department Administrative Coordinator III for Risk Management at Hendrick Health plays a crucial role in supporting the risk management program aimed at reducing risks across all Hendrick Health locations. This position involves collaboration with the leadership team and serves as a liaison for risk-related events, ensuring effective communication and coordination of risk investigative activities. The coordinator will manage various departmental activities, including RCA interviews, debriefings, and corrective action plans, while also supporting the daily operational needs of the Risk Management team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination of the risk management program.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership team and serve as a liaison for risk-related events.
  • Coordinate RCA interviews and meetings, and debriefings following high-risk events.
  • Submit corrective action plans by responsible leaders.
  • Coordinate the Proactive Risk Assessment program.
  • Manage correspondence and follow up on inquiries related to Risk Management subpoenas.
  • Handle data management and report development.
  • Support recall management activities.
  • Provide coordination and support to the Risk Management team in daily operations and project initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of administrative experience in healthcare, legal, or administrative office work.
  • Licensure commensurate with field of study required through the appropriate Texas state licensing agency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to navigate electronic medical records (Allscripts/Apollo EMR/Athena).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to create educational material.
  • Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Healthcare Risk Management preferred but will train the right candidate.
  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in conflict management.
