About the position

The Department Lead at Rural King is responsible for overseeing the operations of a specific department, ensuring efficient inventory management, maintaining cleanliness, and providing exceptional customer service. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing the shopping experience and supporting the overall goals of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee scanning outs, inventory management, and recovery processes.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies in inventory.
  • Coordinate and execute price changes and manage planogram sets.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the department.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with inquiries.
  • Support front-end operations by processing transactions as needed.
  • Participate in cross-training for flexibility in various departments.
  • Engage in learning initiatives to acquire new knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of retail experience with knowledge of specific department.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Comfortable navigating computer systems and software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with inventory management systems.
