About the position
The position is for a Registered Nurse serving as the Evening Lead in the Emergency Department. The role requires a currently licensed nurse by the Connecticut State Board of Nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or demonstrated/documented progress toward obtaining a BSN. The nurse will be responsible for overseeing the evening shift operations in the emergency department, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective team management.
Responsibilities
- Lead the evening nursing team in the Emergency Department.
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards and protocols.
- Provide direct patient care and support to nursing staff.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Manage patient flow and prioritize care based on urgency.
Requirements
- Currently licensed by Connecticut State Board of Nursing.
- BSN or demonstrated/documented progress toward BSN.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Emergency Nursing.
- BLS certification.
- Current ACLS and/or PALS/ENPC certification.
