About the position

The Department Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operations of their assigned department at Rural King. This position involves overseeing inventory management, maintaining cleanliness, executing price changes, and providing exceptional customer service. The Department Lead is expected to uphold company standards and contribute to a positive shopping experience for customers while supporting the overall goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scanning outs, inventory management, recovery, price changes, and planogram sets.
• Maintain department cleanliness and adhere to the indoor merchandising guide.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular stock counts and reconciliations.
• Coordinate and execute price changes accurately and efficiently.
• Manage the implementation of playbook features and planogram sets according to company guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service using the customer engagement model.
• Support front-end operations by processing transactions or loadouts as required.
• Participate in cross-training for flexibility in various departments.
• Actively engage in learning initiatives such as training programs and workshops.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of retail experience with knowledge of specific department.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain attention to detail.
• Comfortable navigating computer systems and software.
