About the position

The Departmental Budget Analyst/Bookkeeper is responsible for analyzing, verifying, coordinating, and reconciling project budgets to ensure optimal resource utilization and compliance with fiscal requirements. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to manage approved budgets, generate project reports, and provide fiscal support.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and verify assigned project budgets.
  • Coordinate and reconcile project budgets to ensure compliance with fiscal requirements.
  • Compile and generate data relevant to project development and budget accountability.
  • Collaborate with project managers, administrators, supervisors, and directors regarding budget management.
  • Establish project reports and provide sound fiscal support.

Requirements

  • 3 years of accounting experience (preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Experience in cost management and budgeting.
  • Bookkeeping skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Google Apps.
