About the position

The Deposit Operations Account Specialist I at Bank OZK is responsible for providing essential daily retail support for deposit operation functions. This role is crucial in assisting both current and future retail staff to perform their responsibilities in a professional and accurate manner, adhering to the bank's policies and compliance regulations. The specialist will engage in various tasks that ensure the smooth operation of deposit accounts, contributing to the overall efficiency of the bank's services. In this position, the specialist will process and verify new and revised account documentation, ensuring that all actions comply with bank policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This includes handling file maintenance tasks and evaluating any processing issues that arise, determining whether they can be resolved independently or need to be escalated to higher management. Punctuality and attendance are emphasized, as the role requires consistent presence to support the bank's operations effectively. The specialist will also be expected to follow all bank policies, procedures, and guidelines diligently. Additionally, the role may involve performing other duties as assigned, which could vary based on the bank's operational needs. This position is designed for individuals who are adaptable, possess strong customer service skills, and can communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms. The ability to learn and follow bank policies and procedures is essential, as is the capacity to work extended hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Processes and verifies new and revised account documentation according to bank policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Processes and verifies file maintenances.
  • Evaluates processing issues for resolution and/or escalation.
  • Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
  • Follows Bank policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience using computer, including Microsoft Word and Excel, required.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to adapt well to change.
  • Ability to adapt to repeated interruptions.
  • Ability to respond to branch requests and demands professionally and promptly.
  • Ability to learn and follow Bank policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work extended hours if necessary.
  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
