About the position

The Deposit Operations Account Specialist I is responsible for providing daily retail support for deposit operation functions within Bank OZK. This role is crucial in assisting both current and future retail staff to perform their responsibilities in a professional and accurate manner, adhering to the bank's policies and compliance regulations. The specialist will process and verify new and revised account documentation, ensuring that all actions align with bank policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy in all tasks performed. In addition to processing account documentation, the specialist will also handle file maintenance tasks, ensuring that all records are up-to-date and compliant with the necessary regulations. The role involves evaluating processing issues and determining the appropriate resolution or escalation path, which is essential for maintaining operational efficiency. Punctuality and attendance are critical in this role, as the specialist must be present to support the team and respond to branch requests promptly. The Deposit Operations Account Specialist I will also be expected to follow all bank policies, procedures, and guidelines diligently. This position may require the individual to perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the deposit operations team. The ability to adapt to change and manage interruptions effectively is vital, as the banking environment can be dynamic and fast-paced.

Responsibilities

  • Processes and verifies new and revised account documentation according to bank policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Processes and verifies file maintenances.
  • Evaluates processing issues for resolution and/or escalation.
  • Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
  • Follows Bank policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience using computer, including Microsoft Word and Excel, required.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to adapt well to change and manage repeated interruptions.
  • Ability to respond to branch requests and demands professionally and promptly.
  • Ability to learn and follow Bank policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work extended hours if necessary.
  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
