About the position

The Deposit Operations Coordinator II plays a crucial role in the Deposit Operations department, responsible for a variety of customer service tasks and daily operations related to deposit management. This position serves as a subject matter expert, assisting both internal and external customers with inquiries and issues related to banking operations and digital products. The role emphasizes compliance, quality service, and the promotion of bank products to meet customer needs, while also allowing for a hybrid work arrangement after successful training.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily duties related to Deposit Operations including exceptions processing, new account review, IRA maintenance, wire transfer processing, and ACH disputes.
  • Provide digital and electronic banking support for online banking, debit cards, bill pay, Zelle, and mobile wallet.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely resolutions as a subject matter expert in Deposit Operations.
  • Ensure proper scanning and archiving of documents associated with daily tasks, maintaining document integrity and quality.
  • Promote and recommend bank products and services based on customer needs identified through conversations and account reviews.
  • Assist auditors with the collection of requested materials for engagements.
  • Utilize tools and systems to manage and complete work independently, proactively addressing potential obstacles.
  • Volunteer for special tasks to address specific departmental issues or opportunities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion while handling sensitive information.
  • Adhere to compliance procedures and internal risk controls, ensuring knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant banking or finance experience, preferably in an Operations environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail banking and digital banking operations.
  • Familiarity with data processing systems, COCC preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Office Suite and standard office equipment.
