About the position

The Deposit Operations Manager at Soarion Credit Union is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Deposit Operations department, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exemplary service to members. This role involves managing employees, implementing policies, and enhancing operational efficiency while supporting the VP of Sales & Services in various projects and system enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the Deposit Operations department and assigned employees.
  • Supervise employees to ensure timely and accurate functions.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures of the Credit Union and applicable federal laws.
  • Assist the VP of Sales & Services with research, testing, and implementation of projects and system enhancements.
  • Develop and ensure exemplary member service through observation and coaching.
  • Complete timely performance evaluations for assigned employees.
  • Recommend employee recruitment, changes, and disciplinary actions to the VP of Business Operations.
  • Manage daily tasks to adjust for changes in priorities and service level objectives.
  • Analyze and monitor activities and trends through report generation and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Monitor department productivity and produce accurate reports for management review.
  • Maintain knowledge and hands-on experience with remote services applications and processes.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and recommend actions for compliance and new products.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for department and credit union personnel.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance of ACH/EFT activities, IRA program, and remote delivery products.
  • Manage the internal Visa delivery program and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Research, recommend, and implement application and system enhancements as directed by the VP of Sales and Service.
  • Prepare and provide monthly and quarterly reports for Board Director's packet.
  • Assist with the development of the budget for the assigned department.
  • Cross-sell Soarion products and services.

Requirements

  • Must have at least a two-year college degree in business, finance, accounting, or a relevant field.
  • Completion of a specialized course of study in business or trade school is acceptable.
  • Must have 3-5 years of similar or related experience.
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of principles and practices related to account services.
