About the position

The Full Time Deposit Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in the operational efficiency of the bank's main branch located at 2627 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT. This position is responsible for the reporting and operational inspection of various reports, ensuring that all processes are conducted smoothly and efficiently. The specialist will support the Branch Operations Specialist (BOS) and assist branches by performing daily tasks and audits, which are essential for maintaining the integrity of branch operations. Daily responsibilities include answering calls and emails from branches, providing necessary support, and addressing operational questions that may arise. In this role, the specialist will handle a variety of essential job functions, including processing overdraft applications, balancing daily cash lines, and updating or processing missing work/error tracking reports. The specialist will also be responsible for preparing charge-offs on accounts and overdraft lines of credit, processing daily non-posts, and reviewing several reports from assigned branches. Additionally, the position involves conducting new account reviews, inspecting account documents, and managing dormant account reviews and escheatment processing, which includes sending letters and conducting research. The Deposit Operations Specialist will also be involved in month-end reconciliation on CDARS/ICS, setting up new employees in teller systems, tracking status alerts, inspecting savings bonds, and gathering documents for audit requests. This position requires a proactive approach to account maintenance review and the ability to support branches in the absence of the Branch Operations Specialist. Other duties may be assigned as needed, emphasizing the need for flexibility and adaptability in this role.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of branch banking experience
  • Good organizational skills
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Technical ability to input and retrieve computerized information
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and other employees
