About the position
The Key Carrier Specialist is responsible for directing front-end staff and operations in the absence of the Assistant Center Store Manager. This role focuses on ensuring optimal customer service, performance, productivity, and compliance at the front-end of the store. The Key Carrier Specialist also oversees cash handling procedures and trains front-end associates to uphold the company's mission and standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide customers with a remarkable shopping experience by demonstrating, training, and holding store associates accountable for excellent customer service.
- Manage front-end performance and productivity, including cash handling and compliance checks.
- Directly lead Clerks and Clerk's Helpers, focusing on accountability and achieving high business performance in the assigned area.
- Ensure that front-end and parking lot conditions are met, including cleanliness and merchandising.
- Perform store balancing functions to enhance the shopping experience.
- Handle front-end management functions such as refunds, returns, and check authorizations.
- Monitor customer experience on the front-end and maintain total store operations in the absence of store management.
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
- High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or additional job experience
- One year of prior work experience, including a minimum of 6 months in Grocery/Retail
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Good training skills
- Strong skills in supervision and coordination
- Good counting and math skills
- Ability to read and write to accurately complete all documentation
- Knowledge of front-end operations and check stand procedures
- Knowledge of compliance and basic applicable contract/work rules
