About the position

The Deputy Associate Chief of Staff (DACOS) for Primary Care at the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS) is a leadership role focused on the effective management of Primary Care programs and services. The DACOS will work closely with the Associate Chief of Staff (ACOS) to ensure high-quality care for Veterans, drive performance improvement initiatives, and support staff in transformative changes. This position requires a Board Eligible/Board Certified Family or Internal Medicine physician committed to clinical and educational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an advisor on the clinical management of Primary Care programs and services.
• Work in a strategic leadership role to ensure high-quality Veteran care and efficient clinical operations.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives within the PACT/Primary Care model.
• Coordinate with interrelated patient care service areas such as specialty care, rehab, and nutrition.
• Optimize PACT function and outcomes with all PACT members.

Requirements

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Family or Internal Medicine.
• Full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. State or territory.
• Experience in clinical management and performance improvement.
