About the position

The Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Bayer plays a pivotal role in supporting the CISO in the development, implementation, and management of the organization's information security program. This position is essential for protecting the organization's information assets and technologies from cyber threats, ensuring compliance with security standards, and promoting a culture of security awareness across the organization. The Deputy CISO will also assume the CISO role when necessary and drive transformational improvements in cybersecurity processes and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with business goals.
• Provide updates to Bayer's Executive Risk Committee on compliance and risk topics.
• Ensure security programs comply with applicable laws and regulations to mitigate risks.
• Oversee cyber security operations performance and align with IT Incident Management.
• Serve as the Executive Security Officer for Bayer NA, including various divisions.
• Collaborate with US Divisions to strengthen security posture and achieve business objectives.
• Foster connections with the Legal department to maintain relationships with regulatory bodies.
• Engage with the US Board and Security Committee on critical risks and compliance issues.
• Participate in the Divisional CIO Leadership Team and other executive boards to ensure cybersecurity operations.

Requirements

• Experience in information security management and risk management.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards.
• Ability to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with various stakeholders.

• Experience in a leadership role within cybersecurity.
