The Deputy Chief Information Officer of Operations (Senior Public Service Administrator, Opt. 3) position is a pivotal role within the Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) in the State of Illinois. This position is responsible for overseeing the Information Technology (IT) Operations Program specifically for the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). The Deputy CIO will plan, advise, direct, manage, and coordinate various IT operations, which include the Project Office, Application Service Desk, and Cloud Architect functions. This role is crucial in ensuring that the IT infrastructure and services align with the strategic goals of the department and effectively support the needs of the DCFS. In addition to managing IT operations, the Deputy CIO will also be responsible for overseeing Information Security for DoIT-DCFS.
